The rules for using Shru.
These terms cover what Shru agrees to do and what we ask of you in return. Read them with the privacy policy for the full picture.
What Shru is
Shru turns any URL into a personal share page: a short link, a note from you, the destination behind a button. The service is operated from the UK by the Shru team.
Your account
You need a valid email address to sign up. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@shru.ai if you think it's been compromised.
What you put behind your links
You're responsible for the destination URLs and the notes you write. Shru doesn't pre-screen content — we just render the page. We do reserve the right to take down any share that hosts or links to:
- Illegal content (under UK law).
- Phishing, malware, credential harvesting, or other malicious payloads.
- Content that harasses or impersonates an identifiable person.
- Spam — bulk-distributed links with no genuine recipient relationship.
Reports go to hello@shru.ai. We review and act within 72 hours for clearly malicious content; legitimate content disputes get a slower review.
What we ask you not to do
- Use Shru to send unsolicited bulk messages (spam).
- Reverse-engineer the service, scrape data systematically, or use the API / MCP integration to circumvent rate limits.
- Impersonate other people or businesses on the share page.
- Wrap content that violates the destination service's own terms (e.g. linking to copyrighted material you don't have rights to).
We can suspend or close an account that violates the above, at our discretion. We'll explain why when we do.
Your content
Your share notes, recipient names, destination URLs, display name and bio — anything you create is yours. We store it so the service works and we make it available back to you and to your share recipients. We don't use your content for anything else (see privacy).
Third-party services
Shru relies on Clerk (auth), Upstash (storage), Anthropic (AI for the MCP-driven note drafting), and Vercel (hosting). Their availability and terms are out of our control — when a third party goes down, features depending on it go down too.
Beta and pricing
Shru is in beta. While in beta, the service is free and we may release breaking changes, change features, or pause the service without notice. We'll tell you before introducing paid tiers; nothing you currently use will quietly start charging.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but make no specific guarantee during beta. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind beyond what UK consumer law requires us to provide. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using or being unable to use the service beyond what UK consumer law mandates.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@shru.ai. We remove your profile, tokens, and shares within 30 days. Deleted shares stop resolving immediately — anyone holding the link gets a 404.
We may close an account that's in clear violation of these terms. We'll email you when we do and you'll have a chance to export anything you need.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page when the product or our obligations change. Material changes (anything that shrinks your rights or expands ours) will be flagged via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes that we can't resolve over email go to the courts of England and Wales.
